The detainees, all believed to be Brazilian nationals, are suspected of robbery and extortion-related crimes. The group allegedly broke into a business premises armed with guns in Praia Brava, Itajaí, where they held the business owner, his family, and employees at gunpoint for three hours. Police spokespeople revealed that the suspects attempted to obscure their tracks by dispersing the funds across multiple cryptocurrency wallets. Nevertheless, authorities have frozen exchange wallets and seized the stolen coins.
