The Open Network Foundation Announces Attempt to Become the World’s Fastest Blockchain
The Open Network Foundation, also known as TON Foundation, has revealed its plans to officially become the world’s fastest blockchain and secure a place in the Guinness World Records. To demonstrate the speed, scalability, and reliability of The Open Network (TON) blockchain, a public network performance test is scheduled for October 31, 2023, at 15:00 UTC.
In preparation for the performance test, TON Foundation will collaborate with Alibaba Cloud and other partners to set up 256 servers for validator nodes. These servers will be used to establish a separate TON blockchain network dedicated to the performance tests.

Since 2022, the TON blockchain has experienced significant growth. The number of addresses on the network has increased by 20 times, going from 170,000 to an impressive 3.5 million. This growth in user base has led to the expansion of TON validator nodes, which now total 350 and are spread across 25 different countries.
Despite this rapid expansion, the TON blockchain has maintained a reliable track record with no major network disruptions reported.
