Axie Infinity’s Ronin Network Welcomes Zoids Wild Arena Game to its Platform

Sky Mavis Partners with ACT Games to Bring Titles to Ronin Network

Blockchain gaming company Sky Mavis has teamed up with Korean publisher ACT Games to bring all of ACT’s games to the Ronin network. Initially, Sky Mavis will assist ACT in migrating its trading card game (TCG) called Zoids Wild Arena to the Ethereum sidechain network. ACT Games is known for its licensing deals with popular Japanese intellectual properties like Aggretsuko and Bubble Bobble. Zoids Wild Arena draws inspiration from mech models created by Japanese toy company Tomy, which have also spawned several anime series.

Sky Mavis CEO Trung Nguyen expressed confidence in ACT Games’ ability to deliver strong IPs implemented by experienced game developers. The Zoids Wild Arena TCG was initially launched on the Polygon sidechain but will now move to the same network as Axie Infinity and The Machines Arena.

ACT Games Business Development Lead Viggo Chung highlighted the partnership’s strengths, with ACT focusing on creating engaging game content and Sky Mavis providing the necessary infrastructure to enhance the gaming experience. After Zoids Wild Arena’s launch on Ronin, ACT plans to migrate its entire gaming portfolio to the platform, including games like an Aggretsuko puzzle game and Bub’s Puzzle Blast.

Expanding Gaming Ecosystem on Ronin

Sky Mavis, the creator of Ronin blockchain, has been actively partnering with game studios throughout the year to encourage them to build on its blockchain. Ronin is specifically designed for gaming and aims to establish a gaming ecosystem centered around the use of the Ronin crypto wallet and its Ethereum-compatible blockchain.

While other gaming-focused blockchains like Sui, Oasys, and Immutable are gaining attention from mainstream game publishers, Ronin continues to attract adoption. Earlier this year, Ronin signed deals with four game studios and an existing NFT game.

Hot Take: Sky Mavis and ACT Games Collaboration to Boost Ronin’s Gaming Network

Sky Mavis’ partnership with ACT Games to bring ACT’s titles to the Ronin network is a significant step in expanding the platform’s gaming ecosystem. By migrating Zoids Wild Arena and eventually ACT’s entire gaming portfolio to Ronin, Sky Mavis aims to solidify its position as a leading blockchain gaming company. The collaboration demonstrates the appeal of Ronin as a blockchain specifically designed for gaming and highlights its ability to attract established game developers. As more game studios join the Ronin network, it has the potential to become a thriving hub for crypto-powered gaming experiences.
