Azuki Admits Failure in Elementals NFT Mint – We Completely Missed the Mark

Azuki, the NFT project, has admitted that it made mistakes with its new Elementals collection after facing criticism from the community. The team acknowledged that the minting process was confusing and that the new collection was too similar and dilutive to the original Azukis. They promised to improve communication and execution to regain trust. Azuki clarified that the original Azuki collection would remain a priority and that it needed better communication to rebuild trust. There were also concerns about duplicates within the Elementals collection, which the team attributed to a technical glitch. The floor price for both collections has fallen, leading to criticism of dilution. Despite the issues, the Elementals collection sold out within 15 minutes and generated around $37.5 million in sales.
