Former Consensys Product Lead Joins OP Labs as Lead Technical Program Manager
Ben Edgington, the former product lead at Consensys, has joined Layer 2 developer OP Labs as its lead technical program manager. In his new role, Edgington will grow and manage the core development program for the Optimism Collective, working closely with engineering, product, and governance teams.

OP Labs is a core contributor to Optimism, an ecosystem of Ethereum Layer 2 chains that utilize optimistic rollups to reduce transaction costs for decentralized applications (dapps). The ecosystem is governed by the Optimism Collective, a DAO.
Transition from Consensys
Edgington’s move to OP Labs comes after his departure from Consensys last month. During his time at Consensys, he worked on Ethereum-based software products and developed Teku (originally called Artemis), a popular staking client software for Ethereum.
