Binance has joined forces with INTERPOL to enhance cybersecurity measures worldwide. In a virtual session, Binance hosted over 30 officers from INTERPOL, providing insights into effective strategies for combating cyber threats in the evolving Web3 space. Representatives from INTERPOL emphasized the importance of refining mitigation strategies and acknowledged Binance’s expertise and resources in this joint effort. Binance believes in a holistic and collaborative approach to maintaining cybersecurity, aiming to shape a safer digital landscape and address cryptocurrency-related crimes. In addition to the partnership with INTERPOL, Binance has organized numerous seminars, workshops, and training sessions to empower investigators with knowledge and skills related to the crypto space.
Binance Expands Globally Despite Regulatory Scrutiny
Binance recently launched Binance Thailand, a joint venture crypto exchange with Gulf Innova. The platform offers digital asset exchange services with Thai baht trading pairs and has integrated with local banks in Thailand. Binance has also partnered with Binance Kazakhstan for brokerage services under the supervision of Thailand’s SEC. This expansion comes as Binance.US and its parent company face regulatory challenges. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) initiated an enforcement action against them for allegedly selling unregistered securities. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao was named as one of the defendants. Despite these challenges, Binance continues its global expansion efforts.
