NodeMonkes Leads the Charge in Bitcoin Ordinals Sales
Ordinals, which are the Bitcoin equivalent of NFTs, have been gaining significant traction as Bitcoin’s price approaches an all-time high. Leading the way in this trend is the NodeMonkes collection, which recently achieved its first-ever sale worth over $1 million in BTC. According to data from CryptoSlam, NodeMonkes is currently the top-selling individual Ordinals project, with approximately $45 million in secondary market sales over the past seven days.
In the last 24 hours, only Ethereum NFT project CryptoPunks has surpassed NodeMonkes in terms of sales volume. This is largely due to a recent $16 million sale of a single CryptoPunk. Nonetheless, NodeMonkes has generated around $11.7 million in sales during the same period, with its record-breaking seven-figure trade being a significant contributor to this figure.
The most notable sale within the NodeMonkes collection is the “Alien Hoodie” NodeMonke (#2769), which was sold for 17 Bitcoin on Magic Eden early Monday. At the time of sale, this amounted to approximately $1.08 million. This transaction represents the largest NodeMonke sale to date and is one of the highest-valued Ordinals sales ever recorded.
NodeMonkes Soars as Demand for Bitcoin Ordinals Rises
The price of NodeMonkes has experienced a meteoric rise in recent weeks, mirroring the increasing demand for Bitcoin Ordinals as the leading cryptocurrency surges in value. Just two weeks ago, on February 19, NodeMonkes had an initial price of 0.18 BTC (equivalent to around $9,300 at that time). However, as of now, the cheapest listed NodeMonke on leading marketplace Magic Eden is priced at 0.82 BTC, which is nearly $54,400. This places NodeMonkes in a similar price range to other prominent Ethereum NFT projects like the Bored Ape Yacht Club ($67,000) and Pudgy Penguins ($57,100).
On Monday morning, Bitcoin’s price soared above $67,000, bringing it closer to its all-time high of $69,044 reached in late 2021.
In terms of sales volume, CryptoSlam reports that over the past week, Ethereum NFTs and Bitcoin Ordinals have recorded nearly equal sales figures, with Ethereum totaling $177.4 million and Ordinals reaching $176.4 million. However, it’s important to note that CryptoSlam also includes the sale of Bitcoin’s BRC-20 tokens in its overall statistics, making direct comparisons between Ethereum and Ordinals sales somewhat challenging.
🔥 Hot Take: NodeMonkes Sets New Milestones in Bitcoin Ordinals Market
The NodeMonkes collection has emerged as a frontrunner in the Bitcoin Ordinals market, achieving remarkable sales figures and record-breaking transactions. As demand for Bitcoin Ordinals continues to surge alongside Bitcoin’s rising price, NodeMonkes has solidified its position as a highly sought-after project. With its recent seven-figure sale of the “Alien Hoodie” NodeMonke (#2769), valued at over $1 million worth of BTC, NodeMonkes has set new milestones and garnered significant attention within the crypto community.
