The Crypto Market: A Tuesday Slump
The crypto market experienced a decline on Tuesday, with major tokens trading lower. Bitcoin (BTC) dropped by 1.09% to $25,693, while Ethereum (ETH) fell below the $1,650 mark.
The global cryptocurrency market cap also decreased, reaching around $1.04 trillion with a 0.79% decline in the last 24 hours.

The current price movement of Bitcoin suggests that bears are actively trying to control the market. This uncertainty can be attributed to the ongoing speculation around a Bitcoin spot ETF in the US. Edul Patel, CEO & Co-Founder of Mudrex, stated, “Bitcoin has been trading around the $25,600 level.”
Other Tokens Follow Suit
In addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum, other top crypto tokens also experienced a decline. Litecoin, Solana, and Shiba Inu fell by 2-3%, while Cardano, XRP, and BNB also declined.
The State of DeFi and Stablecoins
The total volume in DeFi currently stands at $1.87 billion, accounting for 7.77% of the total crypto market’s 24-hour volume. The volume of stablecoins reached $23.1 billion, representing 96.09% of the total crypto market’s 24-hour volume.
Bitcoin’s Dominance and Future Outlook
Bitcoin’s dominance currently sits at 48.27%, according to CoinMarketCap. The BTC volume in the last 24 hours increased by 9.83% to approximately $10.66 billion. Vikram Subburaj, CEO at Giottus Crypto Platform, predicts that Bitcoin may revisit $25,200 in the coming weeks.
