Cryptocurrency custody specialist BitGo hires former Genesis managing director
BitGo has hired Matthew Ballensweig, the former managing director of Genesis, to head up its newly launched Go Network. The network, which went live earlier this year, allows hedge funds and other institutions to access trading liquidity at various exchanges without their assets leaving regulated custody. Ballensweig is currently managing the onboarding of firms to the network, which currently includes Bitstamp, Gate.io, INX, and Enclave Markets. The Go Network also offers instant USD to crypto settlement, providing the infrastructure for the next generation of institutional crypto trading. Ballensweig emphasized the importance of a tech-focused approach to institutional adoption in the crypto space.
