Raoul Pal, the founder of Real Vision and a well-known macro guru, believes that BlackRock’s filing for a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) could be a catalyst for fresh capital entering the cryptocurrency markets. BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, recently filed for the registration of the iShares Bitcoin Trust, which would allow investors to gain exposure to BTC without directly purchasing it. Pal suggests that the filing could attract new investments in digital assets, as the market has been relatively stagnant. He also believes that the filing represents a “secret nod” from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to select institutions, indicating support for the crypto market. Pal sees this as a positive development that could lead to the approval of other Bitcoin ETFs.
