BNB Chain’s New Blockchains and Interoperability
In 2023, BNB Chain launched the opBNB and BNB Greenfield blockchains on testnet before launching them on their respective mainnets. These blockchains doubled transaction speeds and reduced fees significantly. OpBNB reached 1.2 million within three months of its mainnet launch. BNB Greenfield empowers users to control and monetize their data and supports the rise of decentralized AI. Both platforms work seamlessly with BNB Smart Chain (BSC) to provide a streamlined user experience.
Increased Usage and Support Programs
The average daily active users (DAU) on BNB Smart Chain increased by 126,000 in 2023. OpBNB exhibited the highest average DAU and transaction count among major L2s launched in the second half of 2023. Additionally, BNB Chain expanded its Web3 Builder Support Program by adding a Founder Track to incubate new projects. They also introduced TVL Incentive and DAU Incentive programs to offer financial support to projects continuing development post-deployment.

The BNB Chain Hackvolution online hackathon challenged developers to build next-gen dApps using opBNB and BNB Greenfield.
