Collaboration Between Flare and SubSquid: Full-Stack Blockchain Indexing Platform Joins Forces

Data Network Subsquid Integrates with Flare Blockchain for Historical Data Access

In a recent announcement, Flare, a Layer 1 blockchain focused on decentralized data acquisition, revealed its integration with Subsquid. Subsquid is a global network that offers free and decentralized oracles to developers and their applications. This collaboration aims to provide developers on Subsquid with access to historical data on the Flare blockchain.

Seamless Access to Fragmented Data

Subsquid offers a comprehensive blockchain indexing solution called Subsquid Cloud Multichain Indexing. This solution allows developers to easily access fragmented data across multiple chains. With its unified GraphQL API, developers can index and retrieve data from smart contracts on any chain. Additionally, Subsquid provides an open-source SDK, specialized data lakes for on-chain data, and a hosted service. These offerings improve data access for developers in the Web 3 space, enabling them to create more distributed use cases on their applications.

“As we aim to provide developers with the best tools, we have been impressed by Subsquid’s commitment to an open-source approach and their efficient indexing system,” said Hugo Philion, Co-Founder and CEO of Flare.

Access to Historical On-Chain Data

Developers building decentralized applications (DApps) can now utilize the Flare blockchain to access large amounts of historical on-chain data through Subsquid’s distributed data lake. This eliminates the need for an archive node and enables rapid and permissionless retrieval of data from the network.

“We are excited to incorporate Flare into our decentralized data lake, allowing developers to retrieve data from the network without relying on an archive node,” said a representative from Subsquid.

Customizable ETL Query Stack

The Subsquid SDK includes a customizable ETL query stack that consolidates data from various sources into a centralized database. This feature enables developers to index events, extract data, and transform it into their preferred data lake. The SDK also allows developers to build custom data pipelines and APIs for retrieving data from the ecosystem. Additionally, developers can make external API calls and aggregate data from Flare APIs using the Subsquid SDK.

Currently, Subsquid’s data lake hosts over 5,000 DApps and projects and can process more than 30 billion requests.

The collaboration between Flare and Subsquid will extend to other developer engagement initiatives in the future.

Hot Take: Empowering Developers with Seamless Data Access

The integration of Flare with Subsquid marks a significant milestone in providing developers with improved tools for accessing historical data on the blockchain. By incorporating Flare’s historical data into Subsquid’s decentralized data lake, developers can seamlessly retrieve large volumes of on-chain data without relying on an archive node. This collaboration enhances the capabilities of decentralized applications and opens up new possibilities for innovation in the Web 3 space. With their commitment to open-source solutions and efficient indexing systems, Flare and Subsquid are empowering developers to build better applications and drive the growth of the blockchain ecosystem.
