Cardano Co-Founder Accused of Hypocrisy and Discrediting XRP Community
During an AMA session on his YouTube channel, Charles Hoskinson, the co-founder of Cardano (ADA), expressed disappointment with the treatment of cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin (BTC). However, a user named Mr. Huber accused Hoskinson of hypocrisy and attempting to discredit the XRP community for years. Mr. Huber provided links to recent videos where Hoskinson accused the XRP crowd of spreading conspiracy theories and harassing him.
Accusations against Hoskinson
According to Mr. Huber, Hoskinson did everything to make the XRP community look ridiculous in public and then offered peace, only to later call them conspiracy theorists again. Furthermore, Mr. Huber accused Hoskinson of assisting in the trivialization and cover-up of corruption by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin while trying to bring clarity to Cardano.
Hoskinson’s Response
Hoskinson quickly responded to the accusations from the XRP community. He reiterated that there was no evidence that Joseph Lubin bribed the SEC to go after XRP. He argued that his statement referred to a free pass by the SEC and that his accuser was spreading conspiracies and slander without providing any evidence.
In December 2022, Hoskinson declared that he would no longer discuss Ripple and the XRP token due to vicious attacks from the community accusing him of siding with the SEC in Ripple’s legal battle against the regulator.
