Terra Luna Classic L1TF Release Q4 Plan
The Joint L1 Task Force (L1TF), the core developer of Terra Luna Classic, has released its Q4 development and maintenance plan. However, the community has criticized the L1TF for their approach in Q4 and the technical issues that affected Dapps and projects in Q3. The L1TF plans to work for free during this quarter.
Q4 Proposal Details
Vinh Nguyen, a developer from L1TF, revealed the Q4 proposal in a recent post. Surprisingly, the team plans to focus only on maintenance, resolving technical issues, and implementing improvement proposals. Currently, there are only three developers working on the project: Vinh, Gevik, and Inon Man.
Criticism from the Community
The lack of major upgrades or developments in the Q4 proposal has drawn criticism from the Terra Luna Classic community. While community members appreciate the team working for free, they strongly disagree with the current plan. They believe that new developers should be added or existing ones should be replaced to address the team’s limitations.
“The Joint L1 Task Force has successfully upgraded the network to core v2.2.1 on Sep 12, 2023. However, we have noticed technical debts accumulated from many previous upgrades which will require dedicated time for maintenance. To quickly achieve parity, we have traded layer 2 compatibility for speed, resulting in many broken DApps and Tools.”
Focus on Stability and Collaboration
The L1TF aims to establish a stable Layer 1 infrastructure and provide easy-to-use Terra Classic smart contract development libraries. The team will primarily focus on resolving L1 technical issues, updating important DApps on Terra Classic, and collaborating with other infrastructure teams.
Limiting Scope to L1 Proposals
The team will only implement improvement proposals that are deemed safe and feasible. They will not venture beyond the scope of these L1 proposals.
Q4 Budget and Market Update
The total budget for Q4 is $9,000, which is equivalent to 160 million LUNC. As the team plans to volunteer their time for the quarter, the budget only includes discretionary computing costs for three months. Currently, the LUNC price is trading at $0.000058, showing a slight increase of nearly 0.50% in the past 24 hours. However, the trading volume has decreased recently and is expected to continue this trend.
Hot Take: Community Concerns Over L1TF’s Q4 Plan
The Terra Luna Classic community has expressed concerns regarding the Joint L1 Task Force’s Q4 plan. While appreciating the team’s commitment to work for free, community members believe that more significant upgrades and developments should be included. They also highlight the need for additional developers or replacements to address technical issues effectively. The community hopes that future proposals will take their feedback into consideration and prioritize the growth and stability of Terra Luna Classic.
