Polkadot and Kusama Outpace Cardano in Development Activity, Says Santiment
According to blockchain analytics platform Santiment, two Ethereum rivals, Polkadot (DOT) and its canary test network Kusama (KSM), are showing more development activity on GitHub compared to Cardano (ADA) over the past 30 days. Earlier this summer, ADA was leading in development, but now Polkadot and Kusama have taken the lead.
During the past month, both Polkadot and Kusama registered 570.1 GitHub commits, surpassing all other cryptocurrencies. Cardano came in third with 548.77 GitHub commits.
Santiment believes that development activity indicates which projects are putting in the most effort to enhance and innovate their existing products. Other projects experiencing significant development activity include Chainlink (LINK) and Filecoin (FIL).
Polkadot is currently trading at $4.02, while Kusama is trading at $18.07. Cardano is trading at $0.24.
Hot Take: Polkadot and Kusama Surpass Cardano in Development Activity
Santiment’s latest analysis reveals that Polkadot and Kusama have overtaken Cardano in development activity on GitHub. This indicates that both projects are actively working to improve and innovate their existing products. While Cardano was leading in development earlier this summer, Polkadot and Kusama have now taken the lead. This development activity showcases the commitment of these projects to advance the Ethereum ecosystem and offers potential opportunities for investors and developers alike.
