Forbes Honors Crypto Professionals in “30 Under 30” Finance Leaders List
Forbes recently released its “30 Under 30” list of finance leaders in North America, which includes several professionals with ties to the crypto industry. While not as many as during the previous crypto bull run, nearly half of the slots on the list were filled by individuals working in or associated with crypto.
Top of the List: Chipper Cash Co-founder Ham Serunjogi
The top spot on the list was claimed by Ham Serunjogi, co-founder of Chipper Cash. His company provides services to over 5 million customers across seven countries, allowing them to trade crypto and make payments. Chipper Cash has raised $300 million and reached a peak valuation of $2.2 billion in November 2021.
Crypto and Blockchain Professionals Make an Impact
Among the notable individuals on the list were Maxwell Stein from BlackRock, Victor Faramond from MoonPay, Hayden Adams from Uniswap Labs, and Eva Beylin from The Graph Foundation. These professionals have made significant contributions to the crypto industry.
Bankman-Fried Tops Forbes’ “Hall of Shame”
FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, once hailed as a crypto prodigy, now finds himself at the top of Forbes’ “Hall of Shame” list. This comes just a year after he was featured on Forbes’ cover and included in their “30 Under 30” list. Forbes acknowledges that while many young entrepreneurs go on to achieve great success, some end up being failures or worse.
Hot Take: Forbes Recognizes Crypto Professionals in “30 Under 30” Finance Leaders List
Forbes continues to acknowledge the contributions of professionals in the crypto industry with its “30 Under 30” finance leaders list. Despite a smaller representation compared to previous years, crypto and blockchain experts have made their mark on the list. However, Forbes also highlights the cautionary tale of Sam Bankman-Fried, who went from being celebrated to topping their “Hall of Shame” list. This serves as a reminder that not all young entrepreneurs achieve long-term success.
