Crypto Influencer ‘BitBoy’ Alleges Death Threats, Appeals for Donations to Support Legal Defense

Crypto Influencer Claims Death Threats and Extortion

Ben Armstrong, the crypto influencer and founder of BitBoy Crypto, has alleged that he is receiving death threats from Hit Network, the company he claims stole his business. Armstrong recently filed a lawsuit in Georgia against Hit Network CEO Timothy Shedd Jr., his father Timothy Shedd Sr., and TJSJ Holdings. In a video posted on X, Armstrong revealed that he has also been extorted out of his Lamborghini by the people he has sued.

Appeal for Legal Fund Donations

Armstrong took to Twitter to explain that HitNetwork has taken all of his money, leaving him unable to fight back. He asked his followers to donate to his legal fund in order to reclaim BitBoy Crypto. However, some members of the crypto community criticized him for seeking financial support.

ZachXBT, a blockchain analyst, replied to Armstrong’s tweet, questioning his request for money given the losses people have incurred due to the influencer’s promotion of questionable projects and meme coins. Others highlighted Armstrong’s ownership of a $350k Rolex watch in one of his videos. Despite the criticism, Armstrong has received over $40,000 in donations so far.

‘BitBoy Crypto’ Rebrands as ‘Discover Crypto’

In response to Armstrong’s legal actions, Hit Network sent him a death threat. Armstrong initially agreed to negotiate and withdrew the lawsuit, but Hit Network swiftly filed their own suit after discovering that Armstrong intended to take legal action. Despite the ongoing legal battle, Hit Network proceeded with their plans and rebranded the BitBoy Crypto YouTube channel as “Discover Crypto.” They released a video introducing the channel’s new identity.
