Crypto attorney John Deaton addressed the impatience within the crypto community surrounding the Ripple-SEC case verdict. Deaton analyzed the intricate proceedings of the case and shed light on the potential delay in the verdict. The case revolves around summary judgment motions filed by both Ripple and the SEC, leading to a cycle of objections and replies. Deaton also examined the Daubert motion, which could further delay the verdict. Based on past cases, Deaton predicted that the verdict would likely be delivered in late May or early June, but acknowledged the potential for a September decision. Deaton emphasized that the delay is not abnormal given the complexity and significance of the case and defended the integrity of the judges involved. The verdict will be publicly announced through a filing to ensure all stakeholders receive it simultaneously.
