The ATP and Artchild Collaborate to Create Customizable Tennis Posters
The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has partnered with digital art platform Artchild to introduce customizable digital and physical tennis posters at the upcoming 2023 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Italy. The core poster for the tournament will be designed by renowned artist Honor Titus, known for his tennis-themed paintings that capture the sport’s history and elegance.
On Artchild’s digital platform, fans will have the opportunity to customize their own versions of the official Nitto ATP Finals poster using curated color palettes provided by the artist. These customized posters will be printed and shipped to purchasers, along with an NFT collectible minted on the Polygon Ethereum scaling network.
During the tournament at the Pala Alpitour arena, selected fan-designed poster renditions will be displayed. Additionally, an exclusive version of the poster by Honor Titus will be available for purchase online and at the Nitto ATP Finals fan village, including both the NFT version and a physical print for $50 plus shipping.
Supporting Environmental Initiatives through Auctions
Singles players participating in the Nitto ATP Finals will create unique versions of the poster that will be auctioned for charity during the event. The proceeds from these auctions will go towards promoting green spaces in Turin, emphasizing an environmental initiative.
ATP’s Director of Communications and Web, Mark Epps, highlighted the collaboration as a way to reimagine the iconic tradition of sporting posters. The ATP has previously ventured into the world of NFTs, partnering with Art Blocks and artist Martin Grasser to launch the “Love” digital art series based on match data from the 2022 Finals. Owners of these “Love” NFT pieces will receive a complimentary customizable poster for the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals.
