This comes as Charles Hoskinson’s Cardano continues to make innovations and disrupt the blockchain space. According to Santiment, Cardano secured the number one ranking due to its impressive development activity, recording 611.47 notable GitHub commits in the past 30 days.

Polkadot and Kusama Network came in second and third place with 500.67 GitHub commits each. Surprisingly, Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, ranked tenth with only 288.67 commits.
Cardano’s Notable Features and Updates
Cardano has been actively adding features and improving its functionalities as part of its development activity. In a recent weekly development report, it was mentioned that the Cardano team was working on updates to the Lace Wallet. Shortly after, Lace announced the release of version 1.6 on its platform, introducing a better user experience and customizable multitasking ratios.
Basho Era and Future Plans
Cardano is currently in its fourth development stage called the Basho Era, which focuses on scaling and interoperability. The Hydra team, dedicated to this stage, recently implemented changes in the network layer and outlined necessary design adjustments.
