Decrypt to Merge with Rug Radio to Boost Web3 Content
Crypto media website Decrypt has announced its intention to merge with decentralized content creator platform Rug Radio. The joint venture aims to enhance web3 content and will be focused on Arbitrum.
Collaboration between Decrypt and Rug Radio
The merger agreement will allow select community members of Rug Radio to collaborate with Decrypt’s editors in creating editorial content on a wide range of topics. In return, Decrypt’s editorial team will gain access to Rug Radio’s creator platform.
Building an Ad-Tech Network
The partnership also involves plans to build an ad-tech network in collaboration with Arbitrum. Josh Quittner, the current head of Decrypt, will chair the alliance. A letter of intent has been signed by both companies, and the merger is expected to be finalized by January 2024.
RUG Token Trading Volume Increases
Following the merger announcement, Rug Radio’s utility token RUG experienced a spike in daily trading volume, rising from $0 to $962. At present, RUG is trading at $0.031.
