The Ordswap NFT Marketplace Urges Users to Avoid Interacting with the Website
The developers of Ordswap, one of the first non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces built on the Bitcoin network, have issued a warning to users not to engage with the website. They stated that they are currently not in control of the domain. While the exact nature of the incident is unclear, the Ordswap team has provided a tool for MetaMask owners to recover their private keys.
It appears that the authorization button on Ordswap’s website was compromised, potentially targeting users’ crypto wallets. At present, when visiting Ordswap’s website, users are redirected to RelayX, another NFT marketplace.
Ordswap was launched in February 2023 and serves as a decentralized trading platform for buying, trading, and generating Bitcoin Ordinals. These digital assets are closely related to NFTs and are inscribed onto satoshis, which are the smallest units of BTC.
