Discover Metis’ Liquid Staking Blitz and Its Exciting Features

Yesterday, Metis announced the launch of the Liquid Staking Blitz (LSB). The LSB is aimed at accelerating the growth of LSD and LSD-focused products on the Metis network. LSD refers to Liquid Staking Derivatives, which are derivatives on liquid staking. Liquid staking involves staking ETH through decentralized intermediaries that release tokens to those who stake. This practice has had a significant impact in the DeFi sector, unlocking liquidity and promoting rapid growth. However, there were no LSDs for the native token of a layer-2 until Metis introduced LSB. The goal of LSB is to accelerate the adoption and growth of LSD within the Metis ecosystem and on layer-2.

Metis also has its own token called METIS, which will be used for issuing rewards. The price of METIS has experienced fluctuations since its launch in mid-2021 but has recently seen some recovery. Liquid staking is preferred by many over traditional staking on owned nodes due to lower minimum requirements and the ability to use staked assets for other purposes.

The launch of LSB by Metis is expected to have a positive impact on the growth and adoption of liquid staking derivatives within the Metis ecosystem and on layer-2.
