The Starknet Foundation’s Reward Program for Early Ecosystem Contributors
The Starknet Foundation has announced its Early Community Member Program, which aims to reward individuals and projects that have made significant contributions to the Starknet ecosystem. The program will allocate 50 million STRK tokens to these early contributors. To be eligible for the grant, applicants must apply through the official website and provide details of their contributions, such as organizing events, encouraging technical discussions, and publishing Starknet-related content.
In a blog post, the foundation expressed its intention to recognize individuals who have positively impacted the ecosystem and emphasized the importance of their contributions. However, the program will not be available to U.S. citizens or in the United States. Additionally, some tokens will be held back in case any contributors are missed.
Token Distribution and Unlock Date
A total of ten billion Starknet tokens have been minted but are not yet available to token holders. These tokens are expected to become accessible on April 15, 2024. The majority of the tokens were allocated to the Starknet Foundation, while core contributors received 32.9% and investors received 17%. The Early Community Member Program is part of the foundation’s plan to distribute its allocated tokens. It’s important to note that this distribution is not classified as an airdrop by Starknet.
