The Starknet Foundation Announces Early Community Member Program (ECMP)
The Starknet Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the Starknet ecosystem, has introduced the Early Community Member Program (ECMP). This initiative aims to reward individuals who supported the project during its early stages. As part of the program, the foundation plans to distribute 50 million STRK tokens to developers and early adopters.
To participate in the program, interested individuals must submit their applications, including their Telegram ID and other contact details. The evaluation committee will assess applications based on the impact, efforts, originality, and importance of the contributor’s work. Decisions regarding token allocations will be announced on December 29, 2023, and STRK tokens are expected to become available on April 15, 2024.
Starknet is a permissionless layer-2 scalability solution for Ethereum that utilizes zk-STARKs technology for enhanced privacy and security. The StarkWare company has granted over 50% of the STRK supply to the Starknet Foundation. The circulating supply of STRK will gradually increase through token minting by the protocol.
