The Starknet Foundation Announces Airdrop for 1.3 Million Users
The Starknet Foundation team has revealed plans for an airdrop on February 20, 2024. This airdrop will involve the distribution of native STRK tokens to 1.3 million users. A total of 700 million STRK tokens have been allocated for this purpose, which accounts for 7% of the total supply of 10 billion tokens.
Eligibility Criteria and Claiming Process
To be eligible for the airdrop, users must have made at least five transactions over three separate months, totaling a minimum of $100. Additionally, they must have had at least 0.005 Ethereum (ETH) in their wallet before November 15, 2023. Various groups such as ECMP program participants, Starknet developers, Ethereum stakeholders, and GitHub developers are also eligible for the airdrop.
Users can claim their token rights until June 20, 2024.
Distribution Plans and Community Rewards
In early December 2023, the Starknet team announced their intention to distribute 1.8 billion STRK tokens among two ecosystem committees. Part of these funds will be used for the initial distribution, while the remaining half will form a revolving fund. The foundation will establish a special committee to reward users who engage in “vital transactions on the network” with 900 million STRK tokens.
