Engaging XMas Game Fest Generates High Levels of Participation within the WAX Ecosystem

A Record-Breaking Web3 Gaming Tournament

Last December, the Web3 world saw a surge in engagement thanks to the XMas Game Fest. This exclusive Web3 gaming tournament, powered by Intraverse and sponsored by AtomicHub and Wombat, brought together the biggest NFT projects on the WAX ecosystem. With a total prize pool of over $12,000, it attracted a lot of attention.

A Thrilling Experience for Web3 Communities

The XMas Game Fest featured 15 NFT projects on the WAX blockchain, with four intense elimination rounds taking place from December 11th to 22nd. The Aphelium community emerged as the ultimate winner, scoring an impressive 886,600 points in the final round.

Players participated in over 123,000 game sessions and generated 7 million impressions on X. They engaged in 1vs1 battles using unique 3D avatars representing their communities. The gaming arena was decked out for Christmas, complete with a Christmas tree, gifts, decorations, and falling snow.

A Wide Range of Activities

In addition to the battles, players had plenty of other activities to enjoy. They tested their knowledge about participating NFT projects through quizzes and were invited to join new Discord servers. They also had the chance to participate in a referral campaign by KINE and compete in a mapping challenge through the OVR App. Over 10,015 social quests were submitted during the tournament.

The Referral Board and Continued Engagement

To enhance earning opportunities for players, a Referral Board was introduced during XMas Game Fest. Players had the chance to win up to $300 by referring friends who joined the tournaments.

Engagement continued throughout the tournament with weekly Twitter Spaces events. Partners and participating NFT projects joined the stage for discussions and special giveaways. A Mega Rumble Chain on Discord also kept the excitement going, allowing players to battle for exclusive NFTs.

XMas Game Pass Season N.01: Sold-Out!

The XMas Game Pass Season N.01, an exclusive NFT collection on WAX designed by Intraverse, sold out before the tournament even began. A total of 1,100 passes were sold, and these passes acted as score multipliers during the tournament.

The XMas Game Pass has a lifetime stacking utility in Wombat Dungeon Master and will be valid for three months in future competitions hosted by Intraverse.

What’s Next?

The success of XMas Game Fest is just the beginning of the collaboration between AtomicHub, Wombat, and Intraverse. Exciting plans are in store for 2024, so stay tuned for more upcoming events.
