Shiba Inu Community Warned About Misleading Emails and Fake LinkedIn Account
The Shiba Inu community has recently received warnings about fraudulent emails and a fake LinkedIn account. The Shibarmy Scam Alerts Twitter account advised people not to open these emails, as they are designed to deceive you. They urged caution and suggested verifying the authenticity of the content by contacting the sender directly.
Ragnar, the Shiba Inu Telegram Admin, also alerted the community that SHIB does not have an official LinkedIn account. They cautioned against trusting any information coming from such a fraudulent source. Ragnar also clarified that SHIB is not on the Fantom (FTM) chain, despite offers made to exchange managers.
Previous Warnings from Shiba Inu Officials
In recent months, Shiba Inu officials have issued several warnings about potential threats. Shibarium’s Marketing Strategist, LUCIE, advised individuals to conduct proper due diligence before joining the ecosystem due to fraudsters misusing the memecoin’s logo or the name of their layer-2 scaling solution for malicious projects.
Shibarmy Scam Alerts also warned about connecting cryptocurrency wallets to unknown decentralized applications. Scammers can create Dapps that look identical to those related to Shiba Inu and other memecoins, so caution is necessary.
Additionally, Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya advised against trading the SHIB-related token Calcium (CAL). This token was created solely for minting and renouncing BONE and will not hold any future value.
Hot Take: Stay Alert and Verify Information
The Shiba Inu community should remain vigilant against potential scams and misleading information. Always verify the legitimacy of emails and sources before responding or clicking on any links. Be cautious when connecting wallets to unknown Dapps and avoid trading tokens with no future value. By staying alert and conducting due diligence, you can protect yourself from fraudulent activities and ensure a safer crypto experience.
