The Bitcoin Ad Campaign
Bitwise, one of the first asset managers to launch a commercial for their Bitcoin campaign, hired Jonathan Goldsmith, famously known as “the most interesting man in the world,” to spice things up. In the commercial, Goldsmith tells viewers to look for Bitwise and mentions that “Satoshi sends his regards,” referring to Bitcoin’s anonymous creator. Bitwise has also created a series of “most interesting man memes” related to Bitcoin.
HashDex has taken a different approach, running commercials that highlight crypto as next-generation technology. They feature decades-old interview footage of people criticizing computer and payment tech, which now seems ridiculous. One commercial even covers Burger King’s first offering for customers to buy meals with a credit card.
Competing on Fees
Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz celebrated Bitcoin’s 15th birthday with a one-minute video monologue on its history. Galaxy is partnered with Invesco on an ETF application that will offer 0% fees for early customers. Novogratz emphasized Bitcoin’s potential as a robust store of value and expressed their commitment to helping people understand its transformative potential.
VanEck is appealing to Bitcoin diehards by promising to donate 5% of profits from its ETF to fund-starved Bitcoin Core developers. They recognize the developers’ dedication to decentralization and innovation and want to support the Bitcoin ecosystem.
