Han Chang-joon, the former Chief Financial Officer of Terraform Labs, has been extradited to South Korea by Montenegrin Police. This comes after the completion of his jail term. The extradition was carried out based on a decision made by the Ministry of Justice in Montenegro.

Han was arrested at the Podgorica airport in March 2023 along with Terraform’s co-founder Do Kwon. Both individuals were sentenced to four months in prison for document forgery. The court also seized their ID cards and passports.

The Montenegrin Police handed over Han Chang-joon to the police and judicial authorities in South Korea. This was done by the Special Police Unit and NCB Interpol Podgorica.

Do Kwon’s Case Still Pending

While Han’s case has been resolved, Do Kwon’s fate is still undecided. He appealed a January decision for his extradition to either the United States or South Korea. Criminal proceedings are expected to be initiated against him for multiple offenses related to fraud.
