Fox Corporation Launches Blockchain-Based Platform Verify

Fox Corporation, the media corporation behind brands like Fox News and Fox Sports, has introduced a blockchain-based platform called Verify. This platform will handle content licensing deals with AI firms and track the usage of Fox Corporation’s intellectual property by cryptographically signing the media in a database.

Verify was developed in collaboration with software development firm Polygon Labs. According to Polygon Labs, distinguishing truth from lies in the age of AI-generated media is challenging. Verify aims to address this issue by providing provenance and authenticity for content.

As of January 8th, Verify has entered its public beta phase. Any media company can register content and grant usage rights to AI platforms through this tool. The platform has already accumulated 89,000 pieces of content across Fox Corporation’s brands.
