Fuse Network Partners with Polygon Labs to Launch ZK-Powered Layer-Two Network
Fuse Network, a leading layer-one blockchain player specializing in scaling Web 3.0 payments, has announced a collaboration with Polygon Labs, a globally acclaimed blockchain technology firm. The partnership aims to create an innovative Ethereum-based ZK (zero-knowledge) layer-two network using the capabilities of Polygon CSK (chain development kit).
The new ZK-powered layer-two network will serve as Fuse’s native platform, providing users and developers access to prominent blockchain ecosystems. The network will utilize Fuse’s native utility token, FUSE, for covering gas fees.
Polygon CDK was chosen for its scalability enhancements, customization capabilities, privacy options, compliance-friendly architecture, and robust support for the Web 3.0 ecosystem. Mark Smargon, CEO of Fuse Network, emphasized the significance of this initiative and how it aligns with their vision for low transaction costs, instant clearing and finality, high throughput, and a decentralized validator set.
The Migration Process to Polygon CDK
- Step one: Deployment of the ZK rollup on Fuse’s existing layer-one to test the new stack’s costs and performance.
- Step two: Integration of layer-one <> layer-two communication into Fuse’s products and tokenomics integration into the rollup. This step also includes building separate pricing for services on layer-two and bridging and liquidity integration across the Polygon ecosystem.
- Step three: Migration of the network to ZK Validium with a chosen partner (Zeeve, Gateway, Avail, etc.). This step involves migrating the validator set to the new stack and collaborating with leading stakeholders to test the new network on a testnet. Additionally, a quick migration option for liquidity and bridges will be developed.
The migration to Polygon CDK will bring several benefits to Fuse Network, including enhanced network TPS with zkEVM, improved user experiences through ZK instant transfers, a decentralized validator set for heightened security, improved bridging capabilities, and partnerships with ecosystem players like Zeave and Gateway.
With this move, Fuse Network aims to revolutionize Web 3.0 payments by offering scalability, customization, privacy, and robust Web 3.0 support.
