The round included new investors such as ARK Invest, Animoca Brands, PROOF, Stanford Athletics, and MoonPay, along with existing funders Andreessen Horowitz, WestCap, Gaingels, Signum Growth, and Struck Capital. CEO John Linden stated that the terms of the raise were similar to a Series C round in 2021, and the company did not want to proceed to a full Series D yet. The funding will be used to scale the company’s games and audience reach, as well as to achieve profitability. Mythical Games plans to close the current round with an additional $20 million to $30 million later this year. The company previously raised $150 million in a 2021 round and aimed for an additional $50 million in January 2022, which valued the firm at $1.25 billion. Its popular games include NFL Rivals and Blankos Block Party, which have attracted over 2.5 million new users in the last year and achieved $1 million in daily sales.
