Claire Elise Boucher, also known as Grimes, has made approximately $6 million from her NFT collection, surpassing her earnings from her music career. In an interview with Wired, she expressed disappointment about the negative impact of people solely focused on making money in the NFT and crypto space. Grimes launched her “War Nymph” NFT collection in 2021, featuring digital artworks set to her music and a one-of-a-kind music video that sold for nearly $400,000. She credited her brother for the idea behind the project, and she believes it has changed her life. Grimes is also optimistic about Web3 and has plans to create a metaverse children’s book with AI platform OP3N and Avalanche’s fund.
