Digital currency firm, HashKey Capital, has obtained a license to operate as a crypto business in Singapore. The company received the full capital markets services license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) after going through the application process that started in May 2021.
HashKey to Launch Regulated Crypto Products
Although Singapore is known for being crypto-friendly, obtaining the license to operate can be challenging due to the registration process. With the license in hand, HashKey Capital will now be able to offer regulated capital markets products from its Singapore outlet.
“Singapore’s innovative spirit aligns with our mission, and we’re excited to propel blockchain-related capital markets products and investments further into the mainstream, offering new possibilities for institutional and accredited investors,” said Deng Chao, CEO of HashKey Capital.
In addition to the license from MAS, HashKey Capital also holds a related license from the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) since February.
