Helium Mobile Unveils Tech Stack Licensing Program
On Tuesday, Helium Mobile introduced its tech stack licensing program targeting device manufacturers. This move signals a significant transition for the company in the global wireless network infrastructure sector.
Decentralized Approach to Wireless Networking
- Helium’s licensing initiative plays a vital role in advocating for a decentralized wireless network development and management approach.
Helium’s HNT Token Surge
Through facilitating easier entry to decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePin), Helium Mobile aims to drive growth in the industry. CEO Amir Haleem outlined the company’s strategic vision.
“We believe that internet access is a basic human right, often via smartphones. Empowering other manufacturers to utilize our technology will propel a global wireless infrastructure revolution. This initiative empowers individuals and communities, fostering progress and connectivity,” Haleem stated.

Integration and Management Simplified
- The licensing program offers easier integration for device manufacturers by granting access to the Helium Mobile Builder App.
- The Builder App allows end-users to onboard and manage their devices to improve interactions with the Helium Network.
Enhanced Monitoring and Management
- Device makers also gain access to the Helium Mobile Hotspot Dashboard, providing real-time monitoring and management features for improved network reliability and efficiency.
HNT Price Surge
The surge in Helium’s HNT token price by 13.44% in the last 24 hours, reaching $3.51, is attributed to the recent licensing program. However, the token remains down over 95% from its January 2022 peak.
Challenges Faced by Helium
- The company encountered significant hurdles, including delisting and trading suspension of HNT by Binance last year.
- Helium’s decision to move away from its original blockchain to Solana sparked controversy in 2023.
- Despite these challenges, recent data from Dune Analytics indicates over 94,000 Helium Mobile subscribers as of June 18, 2024.
