Ambitious Goals for the Future
Helius CEO Mert Mumtaz has outlined the company’s ambitious goals, which include:
- Shipping generalized compression for Solana
- Improving remote procedure controls (RPCs)
- Creating a new RPC client
- Onboarding thousands of web2 developers and larger institutions onto the Solana platform
Expanding the Team and Strengthening Leadership
The funding will allow Helius to hire four additional engineers, expanding its current team of 14 full-time employees. Steve Vassallo from Foundation Capital will also join Helius’ board of directors.
Investors Backing Helius’ Vision
The investment round was led by Foundation Capital, with contributions from Reciprocal Ventures, 6th Man Ventures, Chapter One, Propel, as well as notable individuals including Balaji Srinivasan, Kyle Samani, and Solana Co-Founders Anatoly Yakovenko and Raj Gokal.
