This innovative voting system, originally introduced by Vitalik Buterin, one of the co-founders of Ethereum, aims to address the inherent issues in conventional voting methods, such as fraud, collusion, and privacy violations. With MACI, both privacy and protection against collusion are prioritized, making it a legitimate solution to voting integrity challenges.
Dora Factory, a decentralized governance protocol, has taken up the mantle of advancing Buterin’s vision and delivered an exceptional MACI solution. For the final voting phase of the Taiko Grant Factory Hackathon, the process will occur entirely on-chain via MACI. This guarantees the anonymity of ballots, maintains the integrity of votes through zero-knowledge proof, and safeguards against manipulation.
Voting Process and Incentives ?
Participants will cast their votes through smart contracts, with all actions timestamped on the blockchain for enhanced transparency while ensuring voter anonymity. After the voting period concludes, results will be published by the designated operator, reaffirming the process’s fairness and credibility.
