Renowned trader Peter Brandt is urging former users of FTX to file their claims before the upcoming deadline. Brandt shared a notice letter from FTX that emphasizes the urgency of the situation and provides instructions on how to submit claims. The deadline for customer claims, known as the FTX Customer Claims Bar Date, is set for September 29, 2023. This is the final opportunity for those who missed previous chances to claim their losses against FTX Debtors.
To initiate the claims process, users must log in to the FTX Claims Portal and provide Know Your Customer (KYC) information. While submitting KYC information is recommended, it is not mandatory to submit a claim. All claims must be made in U.S. Dollars, and claimants must specify their preferred compensation asset.
In other news, Sam Bankman-Fried’s plea for bail was rejected by the Appeals Court in the SBF Trial. FTX has been working to recover forfeited funds and has filed lawsuits against Bankman-Fried’s parents. They are also suing ex-employees of Salameda for damages.
