The Terra Classic community is facing a surge in spam proposals on the blockchain, prompting them to propose a parameter change. Proposal #11780 suggests raising the minimum deposit on the Terra Classic chain from one million Terra Luna Classic (LUNC), valued at $57.23, to five million $LUNC.
The proposal, available on Terra Classic Station, has received overwhelming support with a 93.75% approval rate. Happy Catty Crypto, SolidVote, Lunanauts, and AllNodes have all endorsed the initiative to combat spam proposals.
The author of the proposal justifies the increase by pointing out the decline in $LUNC and $USTC prices, which has made the current minimum deposit ineffective against spam proposals. While some believe the adjustment may not entirely solve the issue, it is a sensible step to address security risks on the chain.
