Fake Ledger Support
The phishing scam relied on social engineering to trick the victim into giving away his passphrase and details about his device. Scott Melker emphasized that even security-conscious individuals can fall victim to such scams, warning that many people experience similar situations without ever speaking out.
It’s crucial to remember that genuine support staff will never ask for your passphrases, and phishing scams can happen on any wallet.
