The Merit Circle DAO Expands Compatibility to Immutable’s zkEVM Network
The gaming-focused group Merit Circle DAO, known for launching the Avalanche subnet called Beam, has announced that its Sphere NFT marketplace and tech stack will now be compatible with Immutable’s upcoming zkEVM network powered by Polygon. This strategic alliance aligns with Immutable’s mission to bring digital ownership to gamers worldwide.
The Beam SDK, Beam Companion iOS and Android apps, and Sphere will be compatible with both Avalanche and Immutable zkEVM. Additionally, the Immutable Passport crypto wallet and Immutable Orderbook developer tool will be integrated into the Beam SDK and Sphere for users and blockchain game developers.
Merit Circle DAO, which has amassed over $100 million in assets, is also considering investments in games and studios already building with Immutable.
Merit Circle Stays Committed to Avalanche Subnet
Despite expanding compatibility with Immutable’s zkEVM network, Merit Circle DAO clarified that it is not moving away from Avalanche. They remain excited about the expansion while continuing their efforts on the Beam subnet and relationship with Avalanche.
The Beam blockchain launched in August this year and has seen over 272,000 total transactions on its mainnet. Currently, there are about 20 games building crypto integrations with the network.
Merit Circle DAO is taking a multi-chain approach, focusing on being where gamers, game developers, and studios are. This aligns with other blockchain gaming builders who are also adopting a similar strategy.
