“If we want to live in a flourishing world of public goods, we must design and use economic systems which support them not only in rhetoric but also in material compensation. Namada depends upon many public goods which have come before, and this RPGF drop is part of our attempt to give some ownership back to the creators and supporters of those goods and do our part in realizing such a world.” - Christopher Goes, Namada Co-Founder

Rewards for Various ContributorsCopy

The RPGF program aims to reward six sets of contributors to the Namada blockchain. This includes developers of Zcash infrastructure, Rust developers, researchers on zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), cryptography public goods funding (CPGF), privacy and learning, interchain public goods researchers and developers, shielded community members, Gitcoin donors, and Namada trusted setup participants.

Additional Reward AllocationsCopy

Other allocations include researchers and developers who worked on alternative public goods funding mechanisms, as well as Gitcoin donors who supported ZK Tech and Crypto Advocacy projects. Furthermore, the broader staking community in the Cosmos Hub or Osmosis and BadKids NFT holders will also be eligible for rewards.

Hot Take: Namada Values Community ContributionCopy

Namada’s Retroactive Public Goods Funding program demonstrates the platform’s commitment to acknowledging and rewarding the contributions of its community. By distributing 65 M $NAM tokens, Namada aims to give back to the developers, researchers, stakers, and supporters who have played a crucial role in building and funding public goods on the blockchain.
