Introducing Pegasus: Saga’s Exciting New Launch

[Press Release – San Francisco, California, October 30th, 2023] Saga, a leading Layer-1 protocol and developer ecosystem in web3 gaming, has launched its highly anticipated Incentivized Testnet named Pegasus. This launch is the first step towards the full-featured Saga Protocol V1 Mainnet scheduled for early 2024. The protocol offers an integrated stack of automated, high-performance, gasless, interoperable, and customizable chains called Chainlets. The main Realm on the protocol is the Saga Chainlet Realm.

Saga Realms enable developers to launch customizable chains with different features and services. The Pegasus Incentivized Testnet supports the Saga Chainlet Realm and other architectural components necessary for all other Realms to be onboarded. These include the security chain, platform chain, and Chainlets where all apps live and end-user activities happen. The goal is to be VM-agnostic to allow developers to deploy in their preferred environment.

Saga is rolling out a campaign as part of the Incentivized Testnet launch where participants can earn SAGA tokens through quests and helpful behaviors for the Saga ecosystem. The first group to receive tokens are Saga’s Innovators – developers currently building on Saga. Cohort 5 of Innovators has also been announced, bringing the total number of Innovator projects to 282.
