Investment app Robinhood has partnered with Consensys’s MetaMask ecosystem to make it easier for users to purchase cryptocurrency. The integration of Robinhood Connect with MetaMask’s Buy Crypto aggregator aims to reduce friction for Robinhood users when buying crypto. This service is currently only available for customers in the United States.
Robinhood Connect is a platform that allows users to buy and swap crypto and store it in self-custody wallets and decentralized applications. MetaMask’s Buy Crypto aggregator enables individuals to purchase cryptocurrency from various providers in 189 different countries, ensuring compliance with know-your-customer laws based on the user’s region.
