The Tezos Foundation Announces First Batch of Grantees for Champ Medici Arts Fund
The Tezos Foundation, in collaboration with Cordell Broadus (also known as Champ Medici), has revealed the initial group of recipients for its $1 million arts fund. The aim of the fund is to foster artistic innovation within the web3 space.
The “Champ Medici Arts Fund,” launched last year, was inspired by Cordell Broadus and seeks to support emerging and established musicians and creatives worldwide on the Tezos blockchain.
The first wave of grantees showcases a diverse range of artistic talents, including up-and-coming singers, musicians, and artists such as Laurie Marqueton, Uzumaki Cepeda, Malachi Wright, Cory Anne Roberts, and Reggie Couz.
Valérie Whitacre, the head of art at Trilitech, the London hub of the Tezos ecosystem, explained that some of the projects supported by the fund have charitable components that resonate with the artists and their communities. These projects aim to expand people’s perception of what creative content can be generated and experienced on the blockchain.
