Introducing Two New Hardware Wallets by Trezor

Trezor Launches New Hardware Wallets: Trezor Safe 3 and Trezor Metal

Trezor, a leading provider of crypto hardware wallets, has unveiled its latest products at the Bitcoin Amsterdam conference. The new offerings include the Trezor Safe 3 and Trezor Metal.

Trezor Safe 3: Enhanced Security and Features

The Trezor Safe 3 is the third generation of Trezor’s flagship hardware wallet. It boasts a larger touchscreen, a faster processor, a USB-C port, and a redesigned interface. With support for over 1,000 coins and tokens, this wallet offers comprehensive compatibility.

One notable feature of the Trezor Safe 3 is WalletGuard, which allows users to secure their device with a PIN or passphrase. In case of loss or theft, the wallet can be remotely recovered.

Trezor Metal: A Durable Backup Solution

Trezor Metal is a premium backup device that stores the recovery seed of the hardware wallet in a tamper-proof manner. Made of stainless steel, it features a laser-engraved QR code that can be scanned by the Trezor app for wallet restoration. Trezor Metal is compatible with both Trezor Safe 3 and Trezor One devices.

Pre-Order Now and Enjoy Discounts

The new products are available for pre-order on the official Trezor online store and are scheduled to start shipping in November 2023. The Trezor Safe 3 is priced at $199, while the Trezor Metal costs $149. Customers who pre-order both devices will receive a 10% discount.

Trezor Wallets: Security Features and Updates

Trezor wallets, including the Model One and Model T, are renowned for their robust security measures. These hardware wallets employ encryption and offline storage to safeguard users’ private keys, which are crucial for managing cryptocurrencies.

In 2018, Trezor released a firmware update that expanded its wallet support to include various cryptocurrencies. However, it was later discovered that wallets without a passphrase or password were vulnerable to unauthorized access. This incident highlighted the importance of using strong security measures.

In collaboration with Wasabi, Trezor integrated the CoinJoin option into their wallets in April 2023. CoinJoin allows users to enhance their transaction privacy by concealing transaction history and balances. This optional feature can be activated through the Trezor menu.

Hot Take: The Evolution of Trezor Hardware Wallets

Trezor continues to innovate and provide enhanced security solutions for crypto enthusiasts with its latest offerings. The Trezor Safe 3 and Trezor Metal bring improved features and durability to the market. By offering WalletGuard, Trezor ensures that even if your device is lost or stolen, your funds remain secure. Additionally, the collaboration with Wasabi to integrate CoinJoin demonstrates Trezor’s commitment to privacy and user-centric development. With a track record of robust security measures, Trezor remains a trusted choice for cryptocurrency holders.
