Movie Funded by NFTs Secures Global Sales Deal
A movie called “Calladita / The Quiet Maid,” which was funded by the sale of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has secured a global sales deal. It is set to premiere at the Tallinn Film Festival and is the first European feature film financed by NFTs. The film, directed by Spanish filmmaker Miguel Faus, won the Steven Soderbergh Foundation Grand Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
The world sales rights for “The Quiet Maid” were acquired by Iberoamerican company FilmSharks at the Iberseries industry conference. The film will debut at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in November.
