BitTrade Adds XRP and SHIB to Its Lending Program
BitTrade, a popular Japanese cryptocurrency trading platform, has announced the addition of two major cryptocurrencies to its lending program. The native token of the XRP Ledger, XRP, and the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Shiba Inu (SHIB) are now part of the offering.
The firm is launching a “regular offering” of XRP and SHIB lending, allowing users to lend either token for a period of 90 days to earn an annual percentage yield of 2% on their lent holdings. To lend out XRP, users must apply a minimum of 100 XRP and can lend a maximum amount of 500,000 XRP. For SHIB, the minimum to lend is 10 million tokens, with a maximum of 10 billion tokens.
Expanding Asset Offerings
BitTrade recently added support for Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), increasing the number of digital assets the exchange offers to 34. The move comes after a massive SHIB whale moved over 4.4 trillion tokens to an unidentified wallet, worth more than $35 million. The meme-inspired cryptocurrency’s burn rate surged 14,380% after its marketing team revealed an ambitious strategy for 2024 and 2025.
Meanwhile, XRP has been forecasted to soon see a “mega pump” by a cryptocurrency analyst who used technical analysis to reach the conclusion.
Hot Take
BitTrade’s decision to add XRP and SHIB to its lending program reflects the growing demand for these cryptocurrencies. The move also signals the platform’s efforts to cater to the needs of its users and offer a wide range of digital assets for trading and lending.
