Klaytn Partners with PT Pelayaran Korindo and NEOPIN for Tokenization
Klaytn, a blockchain network developed by South Korean internet giant Kakao, has joined forces with PT Pelayaran Korindo and NEOPIN to explore tokenization opportunities. The Klaytn Foundation aims to create a real-world asset tokenization business model using ship-related assets held by Korindo’s shipping subsidiary.
The collaboration is expected to open up ship finance to individual investors and institutions by tokenizing ship assets. This move is projected to diversify investment assets for web 3-based finance and enhance liquidity while broadening investment channels.
Although the potential size or value of the tokenization for ship-related assets has not been disclosed as the partnership is still in the memorandum of understanding phase, Klaytn’s Representative Director Sangmin Seo expressed confidence in the blockchain network’s ability to identify and launch successful RWA tokenization projects.
